WHY?

Why is man so greedy and angry? Why is so hard to live in harmony? Why can't we raise kids instead of destroy their future? Why does mother Africa have to be abused so much? Over the years she's watched man kill each other for what? Glorification? Of What? I feel sorry for the families that were affected by this, the girls that were kidnapped and for women... Seems like women are forever undermined in our society..

A Continent World Weeps Their Kidnapping

Inkankane..

In my culture(Zulu), this bird is believed to be the bearer of bad news.. It apparently reports family deaths..

In the Summer of 2012, this bird landed on my yard and started to make its noise - at that time I didn't believe in the myth. To me it was an annoying sound but to my uncle it was alarming. We later on learned that my Grandmothers's sister's husband had past on. So today i believe it does bear bad news.

Its More Than Just A Display Pic...

About my display pic, that's NOT me. I saw this pic on Google and I saw a bit of myself in that kid's eyes. There so much innocence in that kids eyes but as he grows up, the same innocence will be tainted by the World. This kid is more rich in culture than I currently am, funny because once upon a time I was. The world made me into a COPY CAT, a REFLECTION of others (i.e Americans and the English), my true identity is not as strong anymore.

Positioning Ourselves For Greatness

Growing up soccer defined who I am. My meals were reduced to breakfast and supper (Sometimes supper only). It wasn't cause I'm poor but because I ate, lived and slept football. Its the biggest sport in Africa just as how BasketBall is in the USA. Almost every African boy dreams of pursuing soccer as a career at some point in their life.

Ironically we saw it as our MEAL ticket and skipped Home meals just to play it.

"SOCCER = LIFE"

The Genesis

Zolani Gwala an african child born and raised on African Soil. No parents but love was very much present in his life. He's got love for his Continent, and this blog is done in acknowledgement of its beauty.

In the beginning there was Africa, mother of all...
